Bottoms Up! Burlesque is a San Francisco-based collective of performers and producers dedicated to the heart of burlesque: the fine art of silly and sexy, dramatic and slapstick, bump and grind, wink and rhyme. We’re dancers, actors, artists and clowns and we’re planning to take over the world. Watch out!
While contemporary “burlesque” has become canonized as strictly striptease, BU!B seeks to reclaim the total entertainment characteristics of the original burlesque theatre — surprise, humor, innovation, parody and provocation. BU!B’s diverse catalog of acts range from PG to NC-17, and from classic to comedy to conceptual and, at times, even creepy.
Performers bring a variety of dance, theater and musical training and influences to the stage: classic bump-and-grind, belly dance, cancan, modern/jazz, swing, hip-hop, improv and more!
Whether you are looking for one solo performance or a full scale variety show, BU!B can scale and tailor to meet your needs. Performers are available for solo or group performances, promotional “meet and greet” modeling, and full-length variety and burlesque production. BU!B can customize routines, costumes, music and complete variety shows for birthdays, art openings, holiday parties, and corporate events
