Bombshell Betty
The creator of Burlesquercise!®
Bombshell Betty leapt headlong into the burlesque life in 2000 when she founded her own go-go/burlesque troupe, touring regularly across the US, Canada and Europe. Her performance highlights include headlining at the House of Blues Mandalay Bay Casino Resort in Las Vegas, touring across Europe for “Russ Meyer Night” with the ladies from “Faster Pussycat, Kill! Kill!”, performing at the pre-party for the SF MOMA CX “Modern Ball”, and performing at various festivals across Europe. Betty started teaching her wildly popular Burlesquercise! dance classes in the San Francisco Bay Area in March 2004 and also teaches Pinup Modeling Workshops and Costuming Workshops. In March 2007, she set up shop at “Bombshell Betty’s”, a multi-purpose variety and burlesque focused dance studio, wearable and fine art gallery, and community space in San Francisco. Bombshell Betty is a co-founder of the clown burlesque troupe “Twist My Balloons!”, a member of “Bottoms Up! Burlesque”, and performs with an ever-changing ensemble of her students under the moniker “Bombshell Betty’s Burlesqueteers”. Her DVD “Intro to Burlesquercise!” was released in December 2006.
